Introduction to Business Administration
 

The course will give you basic knowledge of office procedures and the different elements that make up working in an office.  This course is made up of reading materials followed by a series of short exercises to demonstrate your knowledge and increase your confidence.  You will build your own portfolio of activities, and could use this as evidence to enter further education.  You will learn how to;

  • Answer the telephone
  • Deal with specific callers
  • Deal with a wide variety of visitors
  • Handle mail
  • Filing
  • Deal with Stock
  • Photocopy
  • Produce quality documents
  • Take minutes of meetings

Under the supervision of experienced staff, you will carry out the exercises at your own pace, learning in a real life working situation while helping Parklea in its everyday activities.  Topics covered;
