Parklea Branching Out is an SQA accredited training centre for the delivery of SVQ level I in horticulture. In 2010 we will be offering level II Amenity Horticulture with options for Landscaping or Plant Production.
Parklea’s horticultural staff have many years experience working and training in horticulture and working with young people.
Sharon, the centre manager is an experienced horticulturalist and SVQ approved Assessor. She has worked with people of all abilities, young and old at Parklea almost since its foundation. Sharon is incredibly passionate about the service we provide and her community of Inverclyde.
Robert has many years experience teaching horticulture within a training and development environment in local authorities, garden centres and third sector projects. He is a qualified Assessor and is the SVQ Co-ordinator and Internal Verifier. He believes in providing first class training resources and support to learners and staff.
Ben has many years experience within a horticultural environment, initially as a charge hand with the local Council and recently within Parklea. He is a member of the Parklea SVQ’s trainer/assessor team. Ben is known for his easy approach when working with people with issues.
Angela is a highly experienced propagator and florist. She has a vast range of talents and has worked with young people for many years within the school environment. Angela has brought many new, exciting ideas and techniques to complement Parklea’s current approach to working with young people.
Parklea Branching Out also have a number of skilled and enthusiastic sessional staff and volunteers with amazing talents who are great to be around and help make the programmes interesting and fun.
